The Pseudolarix bosco is particularly appreciated for its education bonsai both for its natural columnar form, which ends with the typical conical apex, and for its aesthetic characteristics: its shoots have a bold red-purple colour, more over the gray-green shade of its needle-like leaves makes it look of a bluish colour; the small pine cones are topped with flakes.
It is a deciduous conifer, thus when it loses its needles it shows all its charm highlighting its rough, scaly, ancient-looking trunk with thin ramifications and short internodes.
The wide range of styles in which you can shape it, that´s to say all those generally used except the broom style, is a further incentive for the cultivation of this species as bonsai.
